Firearms Act Change

Best read this as it relates to holding of components with ‘intent to reload’

It covers two distinct points:

(1) Miniature Rifle Ranges and Shooting Galleries and

(2) Possessing component parts of ammunition with intent to manufacture

With regard to the second part, the key word is “intent” you may wish to consider how you should address this point, however “intent” is a very subjective word and the police may interpret the meaning differently to you.

It might be wise to review the cartridge cases and bullets for calibres you no longer have authority on your FACs to hold.

See the Legislation page for the document.

The next shoot is a Modern McQueens at 300 yards – see you then

Gravett Cup Sunday 3 September Update

Scores on the results page, good shooting all. Scoped section won with an impressive 150..23 and the TR 147.15. Tricky with enough breeze to move the rounds just enough to avoid the target and it was very hot. Still better than rain.

I’m not sure I got all the score cards so if you are missing your score on the list – did you give me your score card??

Hope you all enjoyed it. The next one is a Gallery Rifle.

Sundays shoot is the TR Gravett Cup consisting of 2 x 10 at 300, 500 and 600 yards.

TR shooters will go first (not sure how many there will be) and then the scoped rifles etc to shot on the second detail. Its a good opportunity to test yourself over 3 distances.

The weather should be ok and there will be room for everyone. We will see you there.

Whilst writing I have been advised of an offer on some .243 ammo if anyone is interested. See the For Sale page for more details.
