Sunday 27th Arthur White/Garrick Cup 2+15 @ 300 and 500 yards TR & Scoped Rifle UPDATE

Update

Great day and firstly many thanks to those of you who turned up and helped with the sand shifting. Its a beast of a job but many hands make light work! A number of us will be aching for a day or two! But seriously many thanks to all.

The scores are on the results page and some excellent scores with Mr C senior getting 150.29 so well done.

Despite my range briefing several shooters managed to forget that if its 2×15 you need to fire at least 15 rounds at each distance and (not the same shooters) but 2 x 15 means the score is out of 75 not 50. I did spot that one and will be taking the P out of those two for a while.

So hope no one suffered any serious damage and I will see you for the Boar Hill in two weeks. This as you all know is the charity shoot in aid of the RBL. There may be some sausage rolls and I promise no sand shifting,

Sundays shoot is a TR / Scoped 2 + 15 at 300 and 500 (weather permitting etc) This is a good time to remind you to dust off the TR skill for the Boar Hill on Remembrance Sunday. Im sure you know this is a fund raiser for the legion so we expect to see as many of you as possible.

Anyway Sundays shoot is a good prep and an opportunity to shoot at longer ranges.

I have to thank those of you who turned up and helped at the last work party. It did seem that most of the work was done before the party but never mind. If you feel you are letting the club down by not attending in time for to assist then fear not. We still have to move the sand up the bank and into the butts so if its not raining too much we will have a go at that on Sunday. The work will help relax you for the shoot and you will ‘give something back’

It wont take long (Promise).

And finally as the clocks go back you will be fully refreshed with that extra hours sleep etc.

See you Sunday.
