A few things to mention today:-
Sundays Shoot was (as expected) largely washed out. A few hardy souls ventured forward and I had 4 score cards handed in for those brave enough to brave the elements
So in the TR we had:-
Rob B with 49.3 and Ryan W with 44.0 Excellent shooting the conoditions
In Scoped Rifle we had:-
Mark V with 50.5 and Dick E with 47.6
Both were amazing scores as it was very hard to see the targets. Once we packed up the sun came out! Lets hope we have better luck for the Boar Hill in two weeks
Sundays shoot is the Arthur Whyte and Garrick Cups being 2×15 at 300 and 500 yards. That’s the planned activity but if any of you have seen the weather forecast we may have to retreat to 600 and shoot two details each at that distance. We will decide on the day but I think 600 is highly likely.
Remembrance Sunday 14 November
The Sunday 14th is the Boar Hill Remembrance Sunday shoot and is a TR 2×10 shoot at 300 and 600 yards. We will be inviting visitors and so far have a team from Bookham, Wandsworth and probably Horsham. The missing team for TR where we need a boost if Dorking so if there are some TR shooters please come along and make maintain TR shooting at the club. Scoped Rifle shooters are welcome and can form a Team if you so desire. Teams are of 4 shooters. There will be some sort of refreshments available after the shoot and there is an entry fee of £5.00 per head for Members and £10.00 for Non Members in aid of the Royal British Legion. We will hold a 2 minutes silence at 11am.
Paul Goby
I am saddened to advise that Paul passed away recently after a long illness. We will miss him and wish his family well.
British Summer Time – Ends on Saturday night so the clocks go back 1 hour. Try to remember this and I expect we will have some members turning up early and late as it always confuses everyone.
See you on Sunday
