Sunday 12th – Christmas Shoot – Update

Update – Scores are on the Results page, well shot all, its not really about the scores as the results reflect a very different selection of Firearms used. It was meant to be a fun shoot and that it was. We all had a good blast, didn’t hang around too much or get wet.

We were well stocked with Mince Pies and Sausage Rolls. (thanks to Sharon for heating things up!

Happy Christmas all, pay your subs and we will see you at the Hero Shoot, next year

Toodle Pip

Sunday sees the return of the Christmas shoot and the COF is on the Course of Fire Page. I have now actually added the details to the correct page – apologies!

Essentially its a pairs shoot so find a friend, you will need a Service Rifle and a Scoped Rifle. Three distances 100, 200 and 600.

If anyone wishes to contribute Mince Pies etc then that would be great. There is an entry fee of a wrapped gift to the value of £5.00. No Gift, No shoot.

I will be working out the program for next year when I get a minute but if there are any ‘special requests’ for shoot types then we will consider them.

We ran a 2 day Range Safety last weekend at the range and now have a further 14 qualified Range Safety officers for the club. This was a very successful event and I am delighted that everyone passed and that the NRA were happy with our range management and procedures. There is, however, to be no complacency and we will be reviewing our briefing procedures and range commands in the light of the training. You will also see some new faces stepping up to manage details as a qualification is no use without practice and experience.

This is not about bossing people about but it is about safety and we we need to ensure we continue our high standards.

See you on Sunday and don’t forget the entry fee and Mince pies etc.
