See you on Sunday and please remember we are subject to the rule of 6 and so please do not hang around before or after your shoot.
We hope to reopen the range with the first shoot on 4th April. It is going to be a 200 yard pre-booked event like we did last year. As its not clear if we can reopen yet and it all depends on the Government guidance etc.
When we know a bit more and have some confirmation we will open the booking and get sorted out the way we did last year.
Dont email now – its just a heads up at this point.
See you soon (We Hope)
I regret to inform all of you that our former member, chairman, Secretary, President Ted Molyneux passed away at the weekend.
Ted was probably the longest serving member in the history of the Dorking and District Rifle Club. He joined the club before the outbreak of World War 2 and remained in service with the club until he resigned in 2013. During that time he helped the club through the war years and served as Secretary, Chairman and President, a post he occupied until his resignation from the club. Ted was a committed supporter of the club which will always owe him a debt of thanks for keeping it operating through some very difficult times.
Hope you are all doing ok and we look forward to continuing with the operation of the club when we can.
All the best
Due to the new lockdown we will have to cancel this shoot and subsequent events until the lockdown is lifted.
If we can shoot again in December then we will open then and try to fit in an additional shoot in December.
Its a pity but not unexpected. Stay safe
Thanks
Some Pictures from the last practice (Thanks Chris) Looks like you had fun.
My view that day was a bit different – not as dramatic as it looked but you wouldn’t wander about!
Note there is a large gun safe that is free to someone to collect it (Its very heavy) and can be collected from somewhere in Wimbledon. If you are interested then the details are on the ad.
The next shoot is Service Rifle and I will sort out and post the COF when I get a minute.
Happy New Year – Pay your subs or you are not going to be covered by the insurance after the end of the month.

Contact us
For historic reasons we (I) have been reluctant to make much of the contact feature as there have been issues with all manner of unpleasantness in the past. That aside the ddrccttee@bt etc email address has been playing up and I can only get messages if I log directly into the server (I don’t do this often). I cant get anywhere with fixing this so please don’t use it any more as it wont get looked at.
We have a new general communication email for club items at
dorkingr@gmail.com
– should work a bit better.
Dont forget the Work Party on 18 May and the AGM on 9 June.
Results now posted on the Results page and below. Low turnout but probably due to the holiday season join us next time for our invitation shoot where we should see some Bookham TR shooters and welcome the Sussex County RA for their autumn shoot with us
See you then
